Shailendra Guragain is a prominent figure in Nepal’s business sector, known for his significant contributions to various hydropower projects. He has played a key role in several hydropower companies, including Barun Hydropower Company Ltd., Arun Valley Hydropower Limited, Ngadi Group Power Limited, and Ridi Hydropower Limited, among others. Additionally, Mr. Guragain serves as the Executive Chairman of Siuri Nyadi Power Ltd., where he oversees the Super Nyadi Hydropower Project, which has a capacity of 40.27 MW.
Mr. Guragain’s most notable achievement to date is his role as Executive Chairman of Samriddhi Energy Limited, where he oversees the development of the 216 MW Bajhang Upper Seti Hydropower Project. In addition to his work in hydropower, Mr. Guragain has made significant contributions to the financial, education, and real estate sectors.
He has served on the boards of two prominent banking institutions: Janata Bank Limited and Sunrise Bank Limited. Furthermore, he has held leadership positions, including Chairman of the Independent Power Producers’ Association Nepal (IPPAN) and Co-Chairperson of the FNCCI’s Energy Committee. Currently, he is the Chairperson of the Capital Market Forum of FNCCI.
